What Gear/Equipment I Use For Podcasting
It took me ages to figure out the best gear for podcasting. Now I’ve found it I wouldn’t recommend anything else.
There are cheaper options out there — as well as infinitely more expensive options — but this particular set-up hasn’t let me down in over 200+ episodes.
My full setup includes:
For soundproofing I use some foam squares on the ceiling with 6mm thick cork rolls stuck on the wall via adhesive spray — but a duvet thrown over a clothes horse works just as well (as do egg boxes stuck on the wall!).
The setup is practically bomb-proof and can be comfortably carried in a small bag. I personally have taken it in my hand luggage 10+ times to NYC, Germany and beyond.
That’s it!
Good luck, and happy podcasting!
