Podcast Production Company: Northern Ireland

Let us let you in on a little secret about Best Of Belfast.

To the outside world, we’re a podcast with 250+ episodes and 15k+ monthly listeners that celebrates Northern Ireland and the incredible people in it.

But that’s not all we are.

Behind the scenes we run Northern Ireland’s only dedicated podcast production company — one provides a fully-turn key, red-carpet solution for our clients around the world.

Why Podcasts?

Podcasts are one of the fastest-growing mediums on the planet — and no wonder — these powerful digital assets have a long-shelf life and can be enjoyed for years, if not decades to come.

They’re intimate, engaging, fun and an incredible way to engage key stakeholders, develop new relationships and reach potential customers.

Plus they’re incredibly accessible and can be enjoyed, anytime, any place like:

  • Commuting to work

  • Walking the dog

  • Doing the dishes

  • Cutting the grass

  • Relaxing on the sofa

  • Or (for a lot of listeners) even while they work.

The Painful Truth about Podcasting

However, while podcasts are incredibly exciting there are many obstacles that stop people from becoming podcasters themselves… and even more that stops shows from reaching any traction.

1. Lack of Access to Equipment and Studio Space

Modern-listeners have a very low tolerance for bad audio. Unfortunately many shows never get listened to past the fifteen second mark because of this reason.

Investing in professional microphones, buying audio production software and renting studio space is incredibly expensive and is a high-cost of entry that holds many back from taking the plunge

2. Lack of Technical Know-how

Many people forget that recording the interview is just the first step! These audio files then need to be edited and uploaded onto a podcast hosting platform before being distributed to Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts and the dozen other platforms listeners expect their shows to be on. This costs both time and money.

3. Lack of Creative Direction

Lastly, many people start podcasts because ‘it’s the IN thing to do’ — like getting on social media was a few years ago. The result is millions of shows that lack vision, purpose, storytelling structure, and therefore any impact.

How We Take The Pain Out Of Podcasting

We have been there, done that and got the audience to prove it. Over the last five years our production company has:

  • Produced 500+ episodes

  • Reached an audience of half a million people

  • And created 10+ podcasts across our portfolio

Unlike other agencies, we don’t just offer audio-editing, but rather invite you into our full podcast production system we use to run our own shows every single week.

As a result we’re the only company who can take you from idea to published WHILE handling every single step along the way for you — meaning all you have to do is show up and do the interviews (the fun bit).

We take care of the rest.

Our offer to you:

  • Full use of our purpose-built podcast recording studio in Ormeau Baths Tech Hub.

  • Design of your new show (name, format, branding etc)

  • Setting your podcast up on Spotify, Apple, Google & beyond

  • Creative direction on each episode: structure, question order, themes etc

  • Working with you and your team to identify and reach out to key guests/interviewees

  • Guest Management: scheduling, research, prep, getting photos/bios together

  • Interviewee Management: helping hosts to record in-person/remotely

  • Full production of every episode (including editing, music, mastering and mixing)

  • Hosting & distribution of every episode

  • Creation of a webpage for every episode with photos, audio player and bio of guest

  • Consulting on all the small little questions that inevitably come up

  • In-house voice-over artists and interviewers if your show needs them

  • And a dedicated producer to be with you every step of the way (including on the days of recording)
