Meet Leonard Nugent…

Leonard Nugent is a businessman and author from Belfast with an incredible story to tell.

Despite experiencing homelessness at a young age and receiving no formal education, Leonard went on to start a one-man construction business that has now become a multi-million-pound company.

He’s also walked the Camino and is currently doing a 2500km walk from Malin Head to Cork.

Both his adventures and latest memoir Keep Er Lit have been driven by the desire to inspire young people just starting out in the world and to raise money for the Open House Homeless Charity.

In today’s story we talk about:

  • What it was like growing up in Belfast 60 years ago

  • How he grew his business from himself and a wheelbarrow to a major success

  • The process of writing his memoir

  • And the greatest challenges/successes he’s faced along the way.

Enjoy!
