Live Podcast With Andrew Trimble (#69)
Meet Andrew Trimble…
Andrew Trimble is a “retired egg chaser, entrepreneur and podcaster.”
That’s the bio he gave us anyway.
The former Ulster and Ireland rugby star played over 250 professional games before retiring in 2018 to pursue business.
After meeting his now co-founder Gareth Quinn (see episode #39), Trimble is now the CEO of Kairos, a sports-tech startup who exists to organise players hectic schedules to allow them to be fully present on game day and perform at their highest ability.
In today’s conversation, we talk about the transition from sport into tech, what life’s like after rugby and where the nickname Dopey Sheep comes from.
Trimble is a great great guy with a lot of life experience and hard work under his belt and has a lot to share and say in this week’s episode.
This podcast was recorded live in Ormeau Baths with members of the Best Of Belfast Producers Club, a small exclusive group of local legends who support the podcast financially.
Our next live podcast takes place with a mystery guest on Tuesday 1st October at 6PM. If you are producer of the show you can find out more details in your email inbox.
I absolutely love doing these, they’re a great opportunity to connect with incredible local people and ask questions directly to the guests we have the privilege of sitting down with.
If you would like to support the show for as little as £1 a month and get invited to our live events you can head to bestofbelfast.org and click “producers” for more info.
Alright. Quick plug out of the way, it’s time to jump straight into today’s episode!
